I wear 4E width shoes, the X-Wide fits well out of the boxI've been buying Durham shoes for the last couple of years now. One of the few shoes that makes uncommon sizes. I absolutely love these shoesThese shoes fit but they are not comfortable. They’re stiff and clumsy and change they way I walk. I’m a huge guy 6’6” 485lbs, with a size 18 shoe. I am already a freak of nature and now walk like one too. Dunham is one of the last shoe companies to make shoes for large people. Don’t give up, just adapt to a more comfortable shoe. I’ll pay the price because I have no choice.Ordered in my size but returned because they were too difficult to get on my feet.Wanting a lighter, narrower hiking/ everyday shoe, without laces, these size 16 narrows have been fully satisfying thus far.Left shoe is defective. Sole is not glued properly leaving a prominent ridge in the middle of the shoe. The right shoe is OK.Very disappointing quality.
