Nothing better than the feel of silk and very well made. Have several of these, was borderline thinking of not writing a review because if people start over buying these I might not be able to find it ;) But yeah, seriously these are wonderful ?After wash Colour is very badI live on Oahu in Hawaii, where you can go through life with 3 kinds of shirts: T-shirts for around home and at the beach; an open-necked half-sleeve wedding shirt for however often you get married or tapped to be best man; and a bevy of aloha-type shirts for all polite occasions and venues. So I have a bunch of them. I'm particularly partial to silk and rayon; with the weight corresponding to whether it's summer or winter... which is not as dramatic a contrast here as most places in the USA since the windows remain open all year.Being lazy and not wanting to iron my shirts is why I lean towards silk and rayon instead of cotton much of the time, and the "easy care" of this one is a good feature... the fabric seems like it really may be nearly no-iron.This shirt at least initially shows excellent quality. It has that "silkworm smell" that thick silk often has, though not as overpowering as some I've gotten from amazon and I'd say it shouldn't bother you or infuse your entire clothes closet. The color is very nice, and it'll be my only light-purple aloha-type shirt. I'm not a big fan of the "tiny top neck button with a loop" closure, but I can leave that unbuttoned, and I suppose those more civilized than me might prize it as a feature. One thing about aloha-type shirts is that the sizing and cut varies from one brand to another quite a bit, and I generally take either a L or XL, more usually XL. In this brand, XL is comfy around my too-prominent belly, but the shoulder seams fall a couple inches past my actual shoulders, which means my wife will probably be OK with my going to Safeway with this on, but not to any even where she wants to make a good impression. This is NOT a problem with the shirt, but with the fact that my shoulders and belly don't have the ratio that they would in, say, a greek god or decathlon champ. Had I the opportunity to swap this for a size L, I'd do so and "suck it in" a bit... or (gasp) even diet.So if you're sized like me - 6' tall and 190lbs at age 69, with about 30 lbs of that being middle-aged spread, you may either need to order a size L and suck it in, or an XL and just deal with the too-wide shoulders. This isn't a problem with the shirt, though, which I think earns 5 stars by being sized for the human ideal instead of for my reality.Really is a nice shirt, you'll like it.Oh, the orange is a pretty color. Looks very good on tanned skin. It's not too bright, not garish at all, and it's a bit like orange sherbet. The jacquard pattern helps tone it down a bit,The XL fits my husband well--maybe a touch to wide in the shoulders. But this is a comfortable shirt. Notice in the picture how well the pattern is matched? That picture is the norm, not the exception. I am totally in awe at how well this shirt is tailored. This shirt--in all its colors--is a great buy if you are willing to take care with washing, or let the dry cleaners handle it.Washing is a possible issue, though: Definitely DO follow the instructions on this product page. Definitely do NOT follow the instructions on the inside-of-shirt stitched-in tag. Those instructions tell you to wash on gentle cycle in cool water, and that works okay. But those instructions also say to hang dry. That is a big no-no. When I hung this shirt to dry, it turned into an extremely stiff, wrinkled, unwearable horror. Seriously, it was unwearable and I thought I had ruined it. So, I took a chance and folded that dry unmanageable thing into the dryer and tumbled it at low heat for about 8 minutes. The shirt became pliable.Looking at the reviews here, it is obvious to see that most people must have tossed this shirt in the dryer and watched it carefully, and got great results. Or else they sent it to the dry cleaners. It is a beautiful shirt, well worth having. I love to see it on my husband. The XL fit my husband well--maybe a touch to wide in the shoulders.
