I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about what I would receive when I ordered this jacket. I've been a collector of premium leather bound books for many years and know good quality leather when I see it, whether it be cowhide, calfskin, goatskin, lambskin, etc. I was pleasantly surprised when the jacket arrived. The leather on this jacket seems really nice. Lots of grain and character. Shiny but not overly so. Fairly thick leather likely sufficient for those of us who ride motorcycles. As other reviewers have pointed out, the construction of the jacket is spot on as well. The zippers are a good size and have a feeling that they are built to last. The stitching is clean with no lose threads and the jacket feels solid, as though it will not be falling apart anytime soon. All in all a well constructed jacket that I would highly recommend.
