Running is a quiet navigation with the Adrenaline GTS 17. Its proven balance of cushioning, stability and fit ensures smooth running for those who need support. This new version is softer under the feet but still offers the secure and comfortable fit that makes it reliable and one of the riders' favorites. The BioMoGo DNA cushioning midsole, made of environmentally friendly and biodegradable materials, adapts dynamically to every step and every stride. The segmented crash pad, featuring special padding located between the midsole and the outsole, offers smooth transitions to the heel and toe while the Omega Flex Grooves improve flexibility.

OK, I've been wearing Brooks Adrenalines for years, had GTS 11, 12, 13, 14... read a review of the fifteen which said the toe box had gotten narrower so last year bought a discontinued pair of 14's just in case. This year I finally broke out the unworn (and incidentally hideous, bright pink) 14's to wear, and figured I'd better try some new ones, so I ordered a pair of GTS 16's and a pair of GTS 17's. The 16's were horrible-- absolutely unwearable, due to being slightly shorter and the toe box being narrower to the point where it hurt to wear the shoes. Bummed, I just tried these 17's on, and --hooray!-- Brooks has fixed whatever was wrong with the 16's--aside from being a tad shorter, these fit just like my (also new) 14's, AND have a springier heel. I could not be happier and will be buying another pair, though might go up half a size since they are just a little shorter. The important thing is there is enough width in the toe box, like the older incarnations. DO NOT buy the GTS 16's if you've been a fan of previous incarnations of this shoe. Buy these and you will be thrilled. FWIW, I have fallen arches, narrow heels and wide toes, and a very bad back and hips to boot. Though my running days sadly ended in my 20's (genetic disorder, which caused all the above mentioned problems) these are the only shoes in the world I can wear. Thank you Brooks for fixing them!
